The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD) has learned that according to the Center's latest survey, many in the public do not know the main differences between the different HPV strains they could be infected by.

Specifically, most respondents did not know the difference between the HPV strains 16 and 18, which can cause cervical cancer, and 6 and 11, which can cause genital warts. Many respondents did not know if each respective strain could only cause cancer, or only cause genital warts, or whether each of these strains could cause both disease conditions.

"What's the difference between the hpv viruses? Do HPV 16 and 18 also cause warts or are they just highly risky for cervical cancer?" - Brandy, L.A.

The CBCD would therefore like to clear up confusion on this issue.

Genital human papillomavirus (also called HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI). There are more than 40 HPV types that can infect the genital areas of males and females. These HPV types can also infect the mouth and throat.

However, HPV strains 16 and 18 are thought to be responsible for up to 75% of cervical cancer cases, while HPV strains 6 and 11 are thought to be responsible for up to 90% of genital warts cases.

While there are two vaccines that have been developed to fight against the HPV virus, neither vaccine is a cure. If someone is already infected with HPV, the vaccines will do nothing to help that person.

In fact, it is also important to note that there are no approved treatments that actually kill the virus which can potentially cause cervical cancer and genital warts.

A healthy immune system is a person's best defense against HPV caused diseases. The good news is that the U.S.'s CDC says, "In 90% of cases, the body's immune system clears HPV naturally within two years."

However, clearing the virus does not mean the virus leaves the body for good. It just means that your immune system is powerful enough to prevent the virus from causing a disease. The virus itself understands this and establishes itself in one of the body's organs in what scientists call a latent infection. When a virus is latent, it acts as if it is asleep. Non-scientists would say that it is dormant. A weakened immune system, however, allows the HPV virus to "wake up" and become active again.

That's why the CBCD would like to call attention to an HPV remedy that boosts the immune system and helps target the latent HPV virus that causes genital warts and some kinds of cancer.

"The key to your health is to reduce the level of the chronic viruses in your body to harmless levels." - Dr. Hanan Polansky

The name of that HPV remedy is Gene-Eden-VIR. This scientifically designed, all natural product helps your own body maintain low concentrations of the latent, (sleeping) Human Papillomavirus.

You may have questions about the efficacy, safety, and cost of Gene-Eden-VIR. These are great, easily answered questions.

Gene-Eden-VIR is highly efficient against the latent Human Papillomavirus; each ingredient was chosen through a scientific approach. polyDNA scientists scanned thousands of scientific and medical papers published in various medical and scientific journals around the world in order to identify the safest, most effective natural ingredients that target the latent (sleeping) HPV Virus.

Gene-Eden-VIR is safe. There are no reports of side effects, and it has been on the market for over three years. Each capsule contains a patented formula of five all natural ingredients including selenium, camellia sinesis extract, quercetin, cinnamomum extract, and licorice extract. In addition, each bottle is GMP Certified.

People can access these scientific papers on the ingredients of Gene-Eden-VIR on pubmed.gov.
